Alison McNeill has led a glittering student career at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she has been awarded both the Peter Mooney and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Scholarships. She has taken part in many prestigious events including singing at the Edinburgh International Festival, The Last Night of the Proms, the Opening of the Scottish Parliament and opening the Scotland International Rugby Games.
A fine exponent of traditional music, Alison leads a very successful Scots Fiddle and Song career. She is a Classically trained violinist and soprano with a vast knowledge of the folk music of Scotland, Ireland, the Flamenco style of Spain and the Bluegrass style of America. She is in great demand as a solo performer, session musician, composer, teacher and with her own ceilidh band.
